Medical Technologist Responsibilities
As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary duty is to perform diagnostic imaging examinations. Key responsibilities include:
- Equipment Operation: Operate all radiographic equipment efficiently to perform X-rays and other imaging procedures.
- Patient Care: Assist patients by addressing inquiries, providing technical guidance, and preparing them for procedures.
- Radiation Safety: Ensure full compliance of staff and patients with radiation safety regulations (using lead aprons, shields, etc.).
- Maintenance: Maintain radiology equipment by performing preventive maintenance and ensuring cleanliness.
- Documentation: Accurately record and archive all images, analyze results, and prepare reports.
- Inventory: Monitor radiographic supplies and submit purchase requests to maintain adequate stock.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Diploma in Medical Technology OR Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Radiology & Imaging.
Degree must be from State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh (SMF), Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB), or a Govt. recognized University.
Passing Year Requirement: Candidates must have passed in or before 2016. (Strict Requirement).
Experience:
2 to 6 years of experience in a Diagnostic Centre or Hospital.
Skills:
Sound knowledge of radiographic procedures and radiation safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Age: Candidate’s age must be between 22 to 30 years.
