Nurse Incharge Key Responsibilities
As a Nurse Incharge, you will oversee patient care and staff management. Key duties include:
- Clinical Supervision: Ensure delivery of safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care. Monitor patient conditions and escalate concerns to the medical team immediately.
- Critical Care Management: Supervise nursing activities in high-dependency units like ICU, CCU, Cardiac ICU, and Emergency. Ensure readiness of life-saving equipment and monitors.
- Operational Duties: Prepare duty rosters to ensure adequate staffing. Oversee patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and manage unit stock/consumables.
- Infection Control: Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols in wards and OTs.
- Leadership: Mentor and train junior staff, conduct performance reviews, and maintain discipline.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between consultants, surgeons, and nursing staff. Address patient family concerns with empathy.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) from a recognized institution.
Licensure: Must have Valid Registration with the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).
Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in a Hospital, Diagnostic Centre, or Clinic.
